In the Community
One of Bank of Virginia's top values is to provide ongoing community involvement. We embrace the communities in which we are located and you will often see us out and about supporting different causes. We also provide use of our board rooms as well as copy and fax services to non-profit organizations free of charge.
Some of the current community relations activities that we currently support are:
- Communities in Schools Program (CIS) with Chalkley Elementary. We serve as mentors, lunch buddies and class readers. We also host school supply drives for their classrooms.
- Tree trimming events at nursing homes over the holiday season
- Senior Angels, a local charity benefiting area senior citizens. For the past two years during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons the Bank has hosted a canned food and toiletry drive. Each branch also put up a Senior Angels tree.
- Battle of the Banks participant with The Children's Hospital of Richmond
- Sponsor of Night at the Casino to benefit the Lucy Corr Village
- Sponsor of the Chesterfield Kiwanis Golf Tournament
- Sponsor of the Homebuilder's Assocation Golf Tournament
